Tada!

The finished article!

This is the crocheted crop cardigan that I started while I was staying with my sister in October. I've finally got it finished - only a few buttons to add.

Not really very sure of it to be honest. I think I need more practice on crocheted ribbing. But it will do for now!

I'm sure crafty use of safety pins will save the day!

PS the one on the right is what it's meant to look like! And the Waffle Pullover (for giant toddlers - weird perspective in that photo) further down is the one that I'm working on next.

A different kind of handmade.

I was wondering what to do with myself this evening seeing as my man has gone out drinking with his mates. And then I remembered the bread mix big sis gave me when I was in Canada.

This is the result. (It actually looks a lot better in the 'flesh' than it does in this photo - blame my mobile phone.

As you can see I couldn't wait to try a bit. Mmmm! It tastes damn good.

And in case you're wondering why it's a Canadian bread mix, they just make better gluten free ones over there.

PS The rest of the evening will be spent crocheting, drinking red wine and watching The Narnia Chronicles on DVD - all at the same time!

What crafters do at Christmas ...

...while their dearly beloveds play 'let's kill aliens' on PS3!

This crop top is the one I started while visiting my sister in Canada. I was hoping to be able to post a photo of it finished by now, but true to form I'm now on the ribbing second time round.

It will look nice even if it kills me in the process!

Now that Christmas is over...

...you'll probably be thinking about what to do for New Year, or Hogmanay as it's called in Scotland.

Well, think no more - I have the perfect Hogmanay evening out for you. Come and join us at Scotland's friendliest Hogmanay party on Stirling Esplanade where you can see (and hear) the magnificent Deacon Blue bring in the New Year with style.

Tickets are still available at £25 each, or £80 for a family ticket, online or from various outlets in Stirling. You won't be disappointed.

And even better, the weathermen say it's going to be a dry and frosty night - wrap up warm, but then you'll be dancing so much you won't worry about a bit of cold.

It must be Christmas!

I finished work tonight and now I'm watching It's a Wonderful Life by candle light.

It really must be Christmas!

A girl needs good shoes

But bad ones are even better!

It's Christmas!

Possibly the earliest appearance yet of Christmas in the Honeybeedz house.

We bought the tree today and I just couldn't resist putting it up and decorating it straight away.
And then the rest of the decorations just kind of jumped out of the box as well.

Yay!
